In detail ## How we plan a makeover, and what goes into each part Every makeover is a different mix of the same components. These are the decisions that shape the finished garden. ### Zoning the space Most gardens work best split into three or four zones: a hard seating area sized for the furniture you actually own, an open lawn, a utility strip for bins, shed and drying, and planted edges softening the boundaries.
